Identify the equipment
Ask for model numbers and how the proposed system fits your home. For a heat pump, ask about performance at local winter temperatures and backup heating. Avoid comparing quotes by the headline price alone.
Define the installation
List removal, disposal, electrical work, duct changes, permits, cleanup and startup checks. Ask who carries out each part and whether taxes are included. Keep the complete scope in writing.
Check the conditions
Confirm deposit, payment stages, cancellation terms and labour and equipment warranties. Any rebate depends on current program rules and your eligibility; confirm it with the program before relying on it.
